Abbie Richards (A.K.A. Tofology) is a content creator and misinformation researcher. She specializes in understanding how misinformation, conspiracy theories, and extremism spread in digital spaces and she creates educational content that explains these complex issues to a wider audience. She believes that understanding our rapidly evolving world of information is a right, not a privilege, and should therefore be as accessible as possible. So she puts it online. She's amassed a multi-platform following of over half a million people who are interested in learning about these issues. For her work as an online educator, Abbie was included in the Forbes 30 Under 30 2023 cohort, the Mozilla Rise25 cohort, and was awarded the WIN WIN Youth Award for 2023.

Abbie graduated from Colorado College in 2018 with a bachelor's in environmental science and in 2022 she earned a master's degree in climate studies from Wageningen University and Research where she researched the intersection between climate change and misinformation. In her free time, Abbie enjoys hand balancing, dancing, cooking vegetables, cuddling with her cats, and reading science fiction books.
